As the middle child of eight children, Michele was never one to follow the others. In fact, she routinely stepped into the eldest sibling’s role, keeping the rest in order and making sure chores were completed. Therefore, a management and leadership role at The Kelly Group is no surprise to her family and friends. Overseeing the firm’s numerous projects over the years has been personally and professionally fulfilling for her.
Michele is The Kelly Group’s longest-tenured employee, having joined the firm in 1999. In her role as vice president of administration, she oversees the Operations, Financial Planning and Client Service departments and is also a Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional™. Michele’s attention to detail and personalized care make her a valuable resource for both the firm’s team members as well as its clients. A member of the executive committee, she plays a key role in the firm’s ongoing strategic and succession planning while helping to ensure that the firm continues to increase efficiencies and always keep its core vision and values in the forefront.
Since joining The Kelly Group, Michele has earned an AA in general studies and a certificate in accounting from Harford Community College, and later attended Towson University as a business management major. She is a 2012 graduate of the Harford Leadership Academy and served as an adjunct instructor for Harford Community College, where she taught a computerized accounting course for nine years.
Active in the community, Michele serves as president of the Board of Directors of the Albert P. Close Foundation, an organization that serves troubled youth. Her past board positions include the Boys & Girls Clubs of Harford County and the Academy of Finance. She also has served as a volunteer for SARC, the Sexual Assault/Spouse Abuse Resource Center.
